Alternatively, foreigners can create and control a Thai limited company, which has the right to legally acquire land.
Thai Freehold is the ownership that belongs indefinitely to a Thai individual or Thai company. Thai Freehold ownership is owned by the owner for an indefinite period, thus representing absolute ownership of the property. The owner has the right to sell or lease the property.
When buying property in Phuket, you should also consider additional expenses, including taxes, transfer fees, special business tax, stamp duty, withholding tax, and the cost of legal services.
